In order to properly intimate how bad it is for those who
didn't die, those who did should have suffered horribly. A synapse implosion sounds pretty awful (and impossible), but since death by such means is instantaneous, it kind of doesn't seem so bad.

Perhaps a Synapse Explosion is painless - maybe a 'synapses' explosion is an agonizing way to die.
Also, it's possible that the lucky ones were the things arriving, given the imprecise use of articles on the poster.
Plus the tagline assumes everyone knows what a synapse explosion is. I'm apparently an idiot and have no idea. It doesn't sound good.
