Money for Nothing

If you're anything like me, you constantly lament the fact there are few if any scholarships for post-secondary horror studies and are vain about your hair.  While not much can be done about the latter (like our hair needs improvement!), I have good news about the former.

Star Costumes is offering a thousand dollar ($1000) scholarship for students wishing to pursue a career in the horror industry.  Perhaps even better news is that you won't be competing against me because the scholarship is only open to US citizens enrolled in full-time studies at either the undergraduate or graduate levels.

Star Costumes has organized the scholarship as a way to give back to the horror industry, to encourage new talent in the producing, writing, and theory streams.  Presently, one scholarship is on offer, but I've been told more money may be made available depending on the number of submissions they receive.

Visit the Star Costumes website to learn more about this new opportunity and to apply.
